INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., May 2, 2006 - Tau Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity is proud to announce that Paul Lawson, CAE, has been named Director of Chapter Services. He will assume responsibility in early June.
“I’m very pleased that Paul has decided to join our team at TKE. He will be a great addition to the staff,” CEO Kevin Mayeux said. “He is keenly focused on helping us grow a stronger, healthier TKE. He has my full faith, confidence, and support.”
The Director of Chapter Services is a key member of the TKE management team, working to ensure the fraternity achieves its key result areas (KRAs). Mr. Lawson will be charged with providing supervisory leadership for the nine member chapter services department, which includes chapter servicing, expansion, local advisor training, colony chartering, interest group cultivation, university relations, volunteer staff building, standards accountability, and other similar related subjects.
Lawson, 36, joins the TKE staff after serving six years as Triangle Fraternity’s Executive Director. Prior to his service with Triangle, Paul served his Fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi, as the Director of Programs and Services from 1998-2000 and as a traveling leadership consultant. Paul has been involved in numerous educational training programs and initiatives. He has been a session coordinator for the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI), Chair of the Interfraternity Institute (IFI), facilitated workshops at Greek Regional Conferences, led workshops at the NIC/AFA Annual Meeting and served as the 2005 Program Chair, and has provided programming at the Fraternity Executives Association (FEA) conference as well.
“Paul’s experience as a seasoned fraternity executive, his high quality work leading the Interfraternity Institute, and his passion for improving the lives of fraternity men will provide great benefit for every Teke,” said Mayeux.
Paul is a 1992 graduate of Stetson University. He resides in Indianapolis with his wife Carrie and two sons, Jack and Brennan.
Tau Kappa Epsilon was founded on January 10, 1899 at Illinois Wesleyan University. It currently operates chapters or colonies on 271 university campuses and has initiated more than 238,000 men since its founding, including Ronald Reagan, Conrad Hilton, Charles Walgreen, George Halas, Bruce Gordon and Danny Thomas. The purpose of TKE is to contribute to the advancement of society through the personal growth of our members and service to others.
