TKE implements cutting-edge staff structure aimed at strengthening the fraternal experience
INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity announces an innovative staffing structure for its professional staff. In an effort to provide better services for its collegiate and alumni members, the staff reorganization will include the addition of two Standards Coordinators, a full-time Recruitment Coordinator, and a Colony Coordinator. In addition, the TKE Educational Foundation is in the process of adding a full-time Alumni Relations Director to help form area-based alumni associations and provide visionary leadership for the Life Loyal Teke program.
TKE’s Recruitment Coordinator and Colony Coordinator will focus on building stronger, healthier chapters. The Recruitment Coordinator will work to improve new member recruitment and retention for a targeted group of chapters, assisting up to 30 groups a year making major improvements in their membership strength. The Colony Coordinator will be charged with helping our colonies grow into healthy chapters, as well as respond to interest group inquiries on how to become affiliated with the Fraternity.
With the implementation of the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) Standards and TKE chapter-minimum standards, the Fraternity’s two Standards Coordinators will ensure that members and chapters meet fraternal obligations. They will take the lead on standards implementation, chapter discipline and collections.
Knowing that an important element of a successful chapter is local alumni involvement and support, TKE plans to focus efforts on recruiting and training local chapter-level advisors. Led by our four Regional Directors, TKE plans to recruit and train more than 300 local volunteers in the next year through regional and area-based seminars, as well as through web-based education.
“Tau Kappa Epsilon should be helping its chapters and members have the best fraternity experience possible,” CEO Kevin Mayeux said. “This new structure will allow our staff, paid and volunteer alike, to better focus their efforts on growing healthier chapters, and thus a stronger Fraternity.”
Tau Kappa Epsilon was founded on January 10, 1899 at Illinois Wesleyan University. It currently operates chapters or colonies on 270 university campuses and has initiated more than 240,000 men since its founding, including President Ronald Reagan, Entrepreneurs Conrad Hilton & Charles Walgreen, NFL Founder George Halas, NAACP President Bruce Gordon and Entertainers Danny Thomas and Elvis Presley. The purpose of TKE is to contribute to the advancement of society through the personal growth of our members and service to others. |
