Acounting Software? - 2006/01/23 00:59 What accounting software do other chapters use?

I just took the office and the previous Cryso used Excel Spreadsheets, this is not an ideal solution as our chapter is growing at a tremendous rate, I am planning on using Quickbooks Home and Business. But wanted to see if you guys had any better solutions before i set everything up.

Re: Acounting Software? - 2006/01/24 00:05 The only problem I've had with using software is passing it down to the next cryso.  My chapter didn't have a house though so it was probably a little more difficult.  The option we had looked at besides software was to use omega financial or bill highway.  This method seemed to make the transition from officer to officer much easier.

Re: Acounting Software? - 2006/02/11 12:13 Thanks for your reply, We dont really want to pay for a service. I (being the nerd that i am) am probably going to incorporate a billing system into our website so brothers can log in and see what they owe, pay, etc...

When i'm done i will make the code (probably php/mysql) available for use by other TKE chapters for no charge of course.

Re: Acounting Software? - 2006/06/14 10:06 It sure would be nice if some of our progammer types in TKE would develop a nice software package for the chapters to use, especially for the Cryso. One might look at doing it in/for Open Office, macros perhaps, sicne Open Office is cross platform and can be use equally well on all popular operating systems, MS Windows, MAC, and Linux/Unix.

Yours in the Bond,
